Emphatic's Justin McCain Breaks It Down For Fallen Blue

I had the opportunity to sit down with Emphatics’ guitarist Justin McCain at the Carnival of Madness tour at Rams Head Live in Baltimore recently. It is no wonder that this band has succeeded with the dedication that Justin has put forth to their success. My first question to Justin was the band’s name…Emphatic. He explained to me that the band is a combination of being bold and intense “which by definition is who Emphatic is.”

When asked how their sound came about Justin simply explained to me that being a song writer he wanted to find the right singer who would be able to really push the type of sound they wanted. With front man Patrick Wilson’s intense vocals it is no surprise that Emphatic has found a sound that is truly original.

As the band continued to increase in popularity it is at no surprise that the bands fans would do almost anything to get their attention. From tattoos to sneaking on their tour bus the fans definitely have taken a liking to what this band has to offer. With the band’s debut album “Damage” out in stores now fans definitely have something to cheer about. Their single “Bounce” has been a huge success among fans as well.

As I concluded the interview with Justin I asked him if he had any advice to give to up and coming bands out there. He said that it really depends on what the bands goals are. If the bands are trying to “make it,” then they have to truly work hard and “go the distance.” Well I am sure that all those bands out there will do just that.

Well guys keep rocking and I am looking forward to seeing what you guys do in the future.
